Are any other MoMs excited about seeing the Fifty Shades of Grey movie & have you watched the trailer? I think I have seen it 5x already. Not sure if I’m 100% taken by Jamie Dornan however he certainly has the intensity that I imagine Christian Grey to have. What do you think? My friends & I have already set a date to go see it. Surely there still isn’t any MoMs out there who haven’t read the book? If so you must be hiding under a rock-LOL For those of you who enjoyed these books there is another good series by Sylvia Day called The Crossfire Series -have a look.

  • I did read the books and wasn’t impressed at all. I wanted to know more about Christians terrible childhood, but alas this wasn’t to be. I even scrolled through the sex scenes, let’s face it there were LOTS, to get to normal story bits. So I’m not interested one bit in the movie as they’re usually not as good as the books, and I don’t like the books

  • Read the books and watched the movie and enjoyed all – a pretty good adaption of the first book.

  • I read the first book and found it ok but that’s about it. I haven’t heard many good comments about the movie??

    • Looking forward to all of the other movies in the trilogy.

  • no i don’t think that i am interested in this one

  • I’m not that fussed about it to be honest. I will probably go and see it but won’t rush out or anything. More looking forward to the next Hunger games movie.

  • This is one I can’t get into. It doesn’t appeal to me.

  • I have not read the books, have heard a lot of hype about them, may just wait for the movie lol

  • skip FSOG & go straight for Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series! FSOG was horrendous to read. I liked the premise of the books & the basic story line, but James really lacks in the writing department. if she cut out the repetition & unnecessary drivel it could’ve been over with in one volume.
but I’ll still check out the movie once it’s on DVD just to see what they’ve done with it. I’m waiting for Crossfire’s Gideon Cross to get on my telly!! lol

    • Yes I must admit The Crossfire series is way better than FSOG but still dying to see movie!

  • The book is a load of literary rubbish.

  • I was given the book last Christmas but I haven’t got around to reading it yet. Saw the trailer for the movie, but it’s hard to judge it without having read the book. From what I know of the story, I would have expected a slightly better-looking guy to play the lead, but I know that’s just my personal preference. Might get a group of girl-friends to go and see the movie together.

  • I haven’t read the books but I may have to check out the trailer. I must be the only person in the world who hasn’t read the books I think lol

  • I’m afraid this badly written series never really got my interest.

  • It’s going to be interesting to see what they will do from book to film

  • I must be living under a rock because I couldn’t even get past the first chapter in the first book I ended up giving the book away to a friend that desperately wanted to read it. Id have to buy the series again so I can see what the fuss is all about before I watch the movie. No offence but I kinda expected a much more attractive male lead because in my mind the guy was amazingly gorgeous when I was reading the book and I find the girl to be very average in the movie. Maybe my imagination has high expectations lol

  • Sorry I must be one that was under my rock lol I have not read any of the books at all but will properly see it when it comes out on DVD. I hope you enjoy the movie when you see it.
