Hello!

My partner was a 4th year apprentice plumber, his apprenticeship was flying along untill it came to a stand still, his boss asked him to work the weekend and my partner said that’s he’s sorry but he couldn’t as he already had things planned with his family ( as he hadn’t spent any time with his kids in over a month) my partners boss turned around as said well don’t bother coming back to work on Monday and that he no longer had a job with them, with being still a 4th year apprentice with only 6 months to go till completion of his trade we Tryed everything to fast track his apprenticeship and get signed off with a trade but were told to our disappointment that it couldn’t be done, with no money comin in, my partner searching for work all day everyday and getting no where, seeking centrelinks help bed getting denied we had to rely on family to try get us by each week, this week coming is week 10 of no work only odd jobs for cash every now and again, he has finally secured a full time job and we will soon have money coming in again and be able to support ourselves its been a long lost road but I’m so glad he has been able to find something! No thanks to his ex boss for unfair dismissal, not paying his super and no pay out at the end of his job!

  • Oh goodness, were you able to secure an unfair dismissal claim? That atrocious behaviour from the boss!
