Hello!

We are all so proud of our babies and take any opportunity to bend an ear about their achievments, sleep patterns and bowel movements (you know it’s true) at any opportunity. So when you have someone else gloating about your baby do you act so non chalant?

The other day while picking up baby, The daycare girls were running around telling me how clever my bundle of joy was and that she was doing puzzles etc. I replied with a yeah, yeah , she does them at home. Not happy with my response, they continued with ” but I only showed her once and she started doing it too!” Again I replied very casuallly with a “yes, she loves to put the shapes in the holes”.

With that, they were determined for me to share in their amazement. Leading me through the centre, they drag out the puzzle she was doing… and I asked ” what age goup is that puzzle for?” “2 to 3 year olds!” she replied. So is she a genius?

  • Your baby is probably one that sits and watches what others do, waits for them to move away, has a really good look as though she is studying it, then tries to work a toy. On a couple of occasions I saw a baby do that, he worked it out too. He was less than 9 months old when he did that and succeeded in making the toy work.
