This transition can be such a difficult one. All mums can do is be there to listen and to advise when they ask for it and of course do be mum and if you see something that is inappropriate then discuss it in a sensitive and respectful way. We have the experience and they are learning – they will come to us for advise. Always keep those lines of communication open.
