Hello!

We received a new hair cutting kit as a gift and we have been using it for haircuts. It makes such a difference to have a new kit. We are saving lots of money on good home haircuts. I do like to find ways to save money.

  • What is in the kit? Where do you learn how to do haircuts? Would love to do my son’s but I don’t have the confidence.

  • I shave my husband’s hair but not game enough to touch my sons. My husband is going bald so there isn’t much I can do to make it worse.

  • I shave my hubbies and do an awesome job if I have to say so myself. It saves quite a deal of money but I would not attempt to cut my daughters or sons hair, that is a job for a professional.

  • There are tutorials that demonstrate how to cut and style hair and they are so helpful in upskilling and learning techniques.

  • Up to the age of 6 y.o. I had a lot of tonsillitis. Mostly Mum took me to the hairdresser but I had a bout of tonsillitis when my hair starting falling down over my eyes and the back of my neck got straggly Mum decided to try cutting it herself with hairdressing scissors. My Dad said it looked a lot better – had she taken me to a different hairdresser. He was a work when my Mum cut my hair. It was school holidays and we went to Mum’s Auntie’s palce to visit after I had been to the normal hairdresser again. Apparently mt Great Auntie asked her what the hairdresser had done to my hair, that it looked better the time before. She said her haircuts were better than professional.
As a result of that she kept cutting mine after I started work as the hairdressers I tried didn’t do as good a job as she did. I started trimming my Mum’s because she developed a bad neck and shoulder. The hairdressers never let her move her head herself – they pushed and jerked it. She hated painkillers but she would have to take them for a couple of days. She had straight hair so the main thing I had to do was cut it straight.

  • We had a clipper set. My son preferred a home cut to a hairdresser. Not so with our daughter

  • It is definitely a great way to save money and so easy to do a basic trim at home!

    • Haircuts can be so expensive and $ saved on haircuts can go towards other important things and also treats.
