Hello!

I have four children who have all been very fit and healthy, until two weeks ago. My youngest son(22) has just been diagnosed with MS which has come as a shock. He is so fit and healthy, works out everyday, watches his diet and is the last person I would have ever thought would end up with a disease like this.

would there be anyone out there who has similar happen in their family and what is the best way to treat it?

Yours very greatfully.

  • This must be such a shock. My prayers are with you and your family . You may be able to join a support group and if you have a reliable and understanding gp that will be a big help.

  • Have no real advise other than see if there is a support group close to help you find your way though this

  • Follow Drs orders and take all medication. He should keep up his healthy eating and working out….for as long as he can too

  • My brother was the same was so healthy looked after himself till one day he had pains in his arms went to the doctors who sent him for scans and found out he had motor neuron disease and it was the worst kind he only lived for 3 years from being diagnosed.
It just unreal that someone so fit and healthy can be taken from us.
Sorry was a bit off topic i really hope all goes ok with your son.

  • I don’t believe there is any known cause for MS, and it’s often young and apparently healthy people who are diagnosed with it. I’m so sorry.

    • Many thanks for your thoughts, they are very much appreciated.

  • I am so to hear about your Son and life can be so unfair with the hand we get dealt. Have a look around also ask your GP and such as they should be able to tell you more and put you on the track to support groups that can help you with advice and things….search the internet. As a Mother my heart go out to you and what you as well will be going through

    • Many thanks for your kind message and the encouragement to keep in contact with others more in the know that I am……I am trying to find out as much as I can to do all I can to n the disadvantages.

      Many thanks again.
