Heel highs - Real Mum story on MoM

Miss 4 is at the age where she loves wearing my shoes. She is delighted if she can slide into them and shuffle around. She doesn’t get to see my fancy shoes often – they are boxed up in a cupboard. When I pull them out, she gets excited and says “Mummy, I love your heel highs”. She tries them on but wobbles and slips out of them.

Once she was being babysat at a relatives place. Unsupervised, she wore heel highs down their stairs, fell and sustained a huge wound on her cheek.

I tell her that she can wear high heels when she is older. “When I am 20?” she asked “Sure, 20″ I replied. We all know that it will be sonner than that!

Oh poor baby! High heels on the stairs is scary for an adult! It’s funny how they are attracted to these things. I’ve bought my daughter trucks but she tends to run around with dollies and play with girlie things.

My daughter use to wear my shoes all the time, its so cute when they do, they just seem to want to grow up to be like their mums too fast…

I’m always surprised at how far my daughter can get when wearing her father’s far too big shoes!
