Hello!

I am a little bit disappointed. Going through and reading the comments on receipes and blogs – seems to be an awful number of “cut and paste” answers…. I prefer the ones where people have actually read the articles and make intelligent responses, rather than the “thanks for sharing” type. It is nice to earn points and maybe get a reward, but surely that is not the sole reason for answers and comments on MoM? (and no – not getting points for this!!!)

  • Does the same comment really matter. All the recipes look Yum or delicious. Saying “Thanks for sharing” sounds polite.

    • I agree. Each person’s experience on the site is different, and I still feel that thanking people for sharing is polite. I don’t like the idea of naming and shaming people, just live and let live.

      • A thank you comment is indeed polite and demonstrates good manners.

  • I don’t bother reading comments on recipes for that reason. There are still some good comments on blog posts I thought? Maybe I haven’t looked in a while though! At least the answers/story comments seem genuine.

  • Why worry about how other people comment, if you’re here to read, share and enjoy the articles why let it bother you, I’m sure MOM admin will sort it out if they want to.

    • I agree with your comment Michelle; enjoy your own experience.

      • Sometimes I’m in a rush but want to acknowledge what I read.

  • It is disappointing to see the same answers over and over again.

  • Getting very tempted to “name and shame”!! I have just read the same comment from the same person on no less than 6 different articles, all about a minute apart…

  • I really enjoy reading the stories. It is a bonus to get points for putting in a comment. I have checked out some peoples comments, very true that some are copies of others.

  • I know what you mean… was thinking that the other day as I was reading through. And no, I am not getting points for this comment either ;)
