Hello!

So my husband and I are on our first ever holiday without any of our kids. 9 days away in New Zealand. It is the first time I have ever left them for more than a day or two at a time. The kids are 8, 6, 4.5 and 2,5 years old. It’s a really hard position to be in. Because on one side it is beautiful, New Zealand is simply breath taking and it is so nice to be able to sleep, read and go out for dinner without trying to kid wrangle the tribe. But on the other hand it is so hard, I miss the kids, I feel like my limbs are missing and my 2 youngest keep crying whenever the hear my voice on the phone. It’s heartbreaking and yet lovely at the same time. Holidays without the kids… who takes them!

  • Personally I wouldn’t want to go without kids, but we’re all different ! Good on you for going when the opportunity was there and I hope you had a lovely time and came back relaxed and refreshed.

  • Enjoy its not as if you are not going to return you are. Your little one will love you just that little bit more when you get back. Maybe even try some skype time. it might make it that little bit easier if they see you. not just talk to you.
