Hello!

My son wanted to make a birthday cake for me. Thrilled at the idea and clearly he would need help to make it and not sure if my husband would want to do this after work, we set about the task. He enjoyed mixing and measuring all the ingredients. We had so much fun, and he disappeared when the washing up was to be done, but that is fine! When it was cooked we made the icing together and he wanted to write on it so it would be a surprise so I made up some white icing for him. WHen I was presented with the cake that afternoon it said Hoppy Mum. He forgot to put birthday and spelt Happy wrong, it was so adorable as it was a true homemade effort! The best cake I have ever had.

  • I love getting in the kitchen with the kids and they’re learning at the same time! It gets a bit hard to eat it and look like you’re enjoying it when a Tblsp of salt is used instead of a tsp, but you do it!
