Hello!

With my first born child, we would only use Huggies nappies as it was the only brand that didn’t irritate his asking.
We loved them, always recommended them to friends and family.
I had another son, and used Huggies for 12 months without any problems, but Huggies changed!
They caused chemical burns around my sons genital region so we stop using and made a formal complaint.
After 12 months of not using them, everybody kept going on about how good they are now.
So I purchased some to try again.
Well this time, they did the exact same thing.
There were burn marks on my sons back and legs.
Has anybody else had this problem with Huggies?

  • My disposable nappy of choice is Snugglers because they come in a huge box. I do occasionally use other brands, if on special, but can’t say I’ve had this experience with Huggies. Maybe your son is allergic to something in the nappy?

  • I have heard this a bit now from more than one company! I wonder why the change? Why change something that is fine to begin with?

  • I have never had an issue with huggies. It’s sounds like your son must be sensitive to an ingredient

  • I havent had this problem with nappies, but my son is now in huggie nappy pants and they have changed their look and fit, now i am thinking of changing brands as they dont have the soaking and non leaking power they had before the design change. I hope you have found a brand that is good for your

  • Have also had this problem with Huggies.
I now use the Coles brand, only nappies that seem to agree with my son.

  • No, haven’t had this problem, but I agree that different babies often need different nappies for a good fit, lack of irritation, etc.
