Hello!

I love that my children are outgoing, smart and athletic. Where’s this story going you may ask, well, it is all about time and how I don’t seem to get any to myself at the moment. Between class captain assembly x2 gold award assembly x2 football, netball, zone athletics, belly dancing and the eistedford I’ve had a huge couple of weeks. I tried to organise a lunch date with a friend, easy enough you might think…well no as it turns out with her husband and kids and my husband and kids it will be 5 weeks before we have the same day free. Surely it can’t be that hard. So I have laid out my demands to my small people…there is to be NO ACHEIVING for an entire week in September so I can go out for lunch.

  • Yes , when kids are small , schedule is tight , but once they are older and get their drivers licence like my daughter has, you cant control them !

  • It is good that your children are such achievers, it would keep you busy though. Just remember, our children are only on loan, they will leave home….so enjoy the busy while you can

  • It will be all over before you know it … You definitately need together an interst for yourself. Even though you want to see your children doing as much as possible it is not always possible so you need to prioritise and maybe limit them. But as said earlier it will be over and you will have a lot of time on your hands so enjoy it while you can. Get that calendar out and mark a day that is your free day.

  • I get that feeling of too much to do, and too little time! Some days I feel I’m being stretched in far too many directions (it isn’t any wonder we sometimes snap!)

  • Haha! Life’s tough when you have to ask your children to stop achieving! Hope you fit your lunch in!
