Re: Real insurance still can not find my hubby’s policy so now we had to fax his bank statements to them I just wanted to fax the payment part but no he had to fax all his bank details so now I’m going to ring on Monday and I bet they didn’t get them I did write a note with it explaining what’s happening and wanting a refund all it says us 14 days cooling off period after that $30.00 but you don’t get yr money back anyway so why the $30.00 I’m not letting this go but will update after phone calls on Monday

  • Insurance co part three gather waiting 11 days I rang real to ask if they received my fax no they said I wasn’t SUPRISED as I had the correct fax number so now someone else us looking into it but we have stopped payment on 2nd contents policy so it will come up as a non payer so we might get some answers because they still can not find the policy I wonder how many other ppl have this problem

  • Unfortunately I have heard of this sort of problem before…not with the same company but the same problem. It is disgusting. I hope it is all resolved in your favour.

  • If you get no answers ring the ombubdesman they will act a lot quicker for you.

  • Contact the Financial Ombudsman Service (http://www.fos.org.au/) for information and help. They helped us last year when we had trouble with our home insurance provider. Either go to their website or call them 1300 78 08 08 9am-5pm Melbourne time weekdays. Good luck!

  • That’s so bad that they are still saying they can’t find any details for your husband.
    Maybe threaten legal action against them as you can’t seem to be getting anywhere they may well find something then.
    Think it’s time to get hard with them.

  • there must be an ombudsman for this sort of thing…they can’t charge you for covering the same contents twice!

  • The customer service is always great when companies are trying to get your money and then it appears when a mistake happens and they have to give back your money the customer service is disgraceful
