Hello!

In her entire little life, I have spent a grand total of 3 hours away from her. Not through planning -just worked out that way.

For the last 6 months, I have been explaining kinder to her, and how she will go by herself.

Last week, we had to go and fill out forms etc, so in we went. As we walked in the door, she turned, waved and said “Bye Mum”.

Oh.

She was most put out I stayed for the whole time last week. She even managed to squeeze between the wall and the piano to try and avoid home time.

She has been repeatedly checking she will get to go by herself this week.

So much for my mental images of her crying and missing me.

  • Ha ha, that’s great! I guess it’s better than the alternative ☺ Although sometimes it’s nice to be wanted!

  • Guess she is more ready than you, let her fly solo and nurture the times you are together – good luck!
