Hello!

I’ve taught my kids that it is bad to litter, and I’m so proud to say they have learnt this lesson well. We recently went out for the day with friends and their kids to see a street parade. The kids were given a little treat and as we were walking, my friends children just threw them away. Well, my kids weren’t having that! They picked up the rubbish and told our friends straight out that they should have put it in the bin!

  • Good for your kids! This kind of mindless littering bugs me too. What were the parents thinking to let it happen? So glad you’ve taught your kids a valuable life lesson

  • Well done! I’m sure the other kids will learn a lot from this experience. In particular because the “lesson” wasn’t given to them by an adult, but by another child.

  • Well done! Good on them! It is so easy to put rubbish in the bin or carry it in a bag until you find a bin or take it home. They are to be congratulated! :)

  • I swear my youngest who is two will be a council cleaner one day. He cannot talk much yet has everytime we walk past rubbish on the ground. He points at it and yells ahh ahh ahh ahh ahh. Everytime we walk past rubbish on the ground. It makes the walk to school 500 meters a nightmare. We now leave 10 mins before we have to just to get there. Kids and their good manners so easy to teach. Hope it lasts a life time.

    • At least he doesn’t pick up others peoples dog’s poo. My daughter takes extra bags to do this!
