Hello!

You may be seeing a little more purple on the streets today than usual, it won’t be a blinding purple out, probably more of a dull mist than a complete haze, but it’s all for a good cause. March 26th is international purple day, never heard of it you say? That’s ok, that’s what it’s all about, today is the day we try and bring epilepsy out of the shadows. epilepsy effects a number of adults and children throughout the world and unfortunately is rather misunderstood, this can be due to the fact the cause of most epilepsy is still unknown, it’s effects however leave a great impact. As the mother of an epileptic child I quickly realized just how little I knew about this shadowy disease at 4am one cold morning over ten years ago. If you would like more information go to epilepsy.org.au, help us bring this often dreadful condition out of the shadows…and if you see a little purple hero today, give them a wave!

  • Epilepsy is very misunderstood by many and people aren’t very aware that there are so many different types and varying degrees of it. Good on purple day and keep up making the public aware I say!
