Hello!

I have been chatting to friends over the weekend about their take on Mother’s Groups – as i am the first person in this particular group of friends to have a baby, they were asking me about the competitiveness in mother’s groups and comparing babies. My overall experience has been so positive – my response to this question was that it is non-existent (well at least in my group). I guess the key is that we talk about it constantly, and make sure that everyone feels included, supported and positive. Every child is different – they develop at different rates, are interested in different things and have different strengths. I love my Mother’s Group because people always have positive things to say and if someone is feeling unsure or nervous, there are so many supportive and positive things said. I don’t know what i would do without them! I hope other’s are as lucky as me with their experiences! :-)
