Hello!

I recently purchased my own townhouse following my divorce in 2011. At first I was saddened at the life change and learning to support myself and my kids and the nightmare of trying to pursue child maintenance from my irresponsible and uncaring partner. It took me three slow years of putting money aside and learning to live on a single income and sticking to a budget, before I saw an increase in my overall position. During this time I also slowly started renovating and painting my whole home on my own, with occassional help from friends. Now three years later most of the work is complete. The painting is finished and I only have to replace the carpets and a new kitchen when I can afford it. I’ve come a long way from that broken woman who was dependent and depressed to a thriving single mother. So if you are just starting out on your own, don’t lose hope or the sight of what truly matters. A loving environment and comfortable home for you and your children. It hasn’t been easy but at least now I can breathe a sigh of relief and set some new goals for the future that include travel!! Here’s hoping!

  • Well done for getting out there and actually doing all that hard work on your own.
Hopefully your ex is now paying for his children.
At least at the end of each day you can sit back and say “I did this”
