Pain in an unexpected place. - Real Mum story on MoM

My teenage daughter has experienced pain in the perineum for the 3rd time this year. She is a virgin and she hasn’t experienced this pain whilst menstruating. She will go to the doctor but I must say I have never heard of anyone having pain in this area unless experiencing labour. Has anyone else had this experience or know of anyone having this experience?

There is always the option of ringing a health line to get information which may help with your concerns until you are able to visit the GP.

I have had a bit of pain there over the years, mostly to do with hard bowel movements. It sounds nasty for your daughter, I hope the Dr visit clears things up for you both
