I met the man of my dreams through a job (his company contracted work for mine) but it took us about 6 years to realise we were more than just friends. Finally after those 6 long years (& a few failed dates with a few toads) we got our act together & decided to see if we had a future together. Now the only obstacle in our way was a couple of thousand miles & a few states. He lived in Victoria & I was in Queensland. So on Friday 13th this wonderful man jumped on a plane & flew up to spend the weekend with me. Then 1 month later he came up again & this time met my family. Fast forward 12 wonderful but hard months of flying back & forth between 2 states & I packed up my life & puppy & moved to VIC. We got our first place together & everything was going amazingly well. Another year later & we moved into our next place together & then paid the deposit for our planned month long holiday – Medertreanian 12 day cruise, 1 week in France & 1 week in Italy. Now Christmas Day was here & we headed over to his parents home for the traditional family Xmas lunch. I really wasn’t feeling to well & decided that I just couldn’t stomach wine this time. That afternoon we realised I might be pregnant & on Boxing Day we confirmed we were expecting our first child. Now as happy as we were about this it dawned on me the timing wasn’t so great as it meant I was due to give birth right in the middle of our holiday. So needless to say our holiday was now “postponed indefinitely” & we lost our deposit. In June we decided to have once last couple weekend away & i booked a private villa. It was there that my wonderful man proposed to me at sunset & of course i said yes. In September 2011 I gave birth to our beautiful baby girl (after a terrible pregnancy) & so began a whole new chapter of our lives. Then in September 2012 we decided to try for our second baby as we were so very in love with our little girl & wanted to give her a sibiling to grow up with. Just 6 weeks later we fell pregnant with bub # 2 & in June of 2013 (after another terrible pregnancy) we had a baby boy. Now our gorgeous girl is 2, our little darling boy is almost 5 months old & I am planning our wedding for next September. So I guess the point of my telling you my story is to show every woman that fairy tales are real & so is Prince Charming & I can’t wait to see what the rest of my happily ever after has in store
