A procrastinator came to visit today

I pleaded so kindly

“Won’t you please go away”

She whispered so softly

There’s so much to do-

All of this work, & only you!

The weakness inside me

Started to surface & build

Kept telling myself once it’s done I’d be thrilled

I sat with a cuppa, brewed in a pot

And wondered how long it would take

Before I would not procrastinate

I googled, I facebooked, instagrammed & twittered

I better get up

It’s me, I admitted!
