Hello!

Fibear I’m so glad you posted this. While I have one of each myself – my son still a baby, my sister has 3 boys. Naturally her house is full of Lego, cars, action men figures, super hero costumes.. Mine on the other hand has the general dolls, etc.. When my nephews visit, they rush to her room & play ‘family’. I think it’s lovely and it shows their caring side, instead of always fighting and being ninjas.

With my hubby being in construction we have always had dump trucks, cranes, dozers in our home & everyone has always thought awww, how cute taking after daddy. But for some reason it wouldn’t be cute if my nephews had pink frilly dolls in their home?

I feel our boys miss out on enjoying every type of toy because of judgement from friends, family & society.. There is so much women’s rights going round.. How about rights and freedom of choices for our sons?

  • I agree. Why do we need to be so gender specific? Especially with our children. I’m expecting my first grandbaby, the sex of which is unknown and I don’t think my son and his partner want to know. Do you know how hard it is to buy baby clothes that aren’t pink or blue?!?! Where Are the lovely lemons, pastel greens, creams, whitest of whites???

  • My daughters favourite toy is her lego…and not the girl ones.
