So our little man has now had his cardiac catheter done and all went well, even better than id hoped. You would never have guessed he had had anything done once the anesthetic had worn off. We were so proud of our little guy and very happy with the doctor for doing an awesome job, there was no bruising or anything.
Ill explain the day as this is one of the things i didnt think to ask or was told about.
So we were told to arrive at 7:30am with my little one having to fast since 4am…
Once we signed in it was 30min wait to get him weighed then she told us about 45min further wait. 2.5hrs later… we went to the procedure rooms where i was told id be able to go in with him until he was put to sleep well apparently not so that was a shock. Then it was to take an hour but 2 hours later we finally got to see him for about 2 mins before he was put in recovery away from us again for about an hour- again was not told this so it was very worrying. Finally got to hold him then transferred to our room where he slowly came to cuddled in mummy’s arms.
