Hello!

Our story so far is like that of many others, to go from two full time working adults to a one income, two adults and one beautiful baby – A family.

The pressure felt for us is not only losing that one income but my Husband works for himself. He is a cabinet maker in a small town and with the fear of what is happening gobally in a financial capacity work has got down to nothing. So in our little boys short 5 months his Daddy has worked long hours when he has had work on and when there has been no work spent tireless hours finding work. We have each had our down times wondering how we will get through this patch and been there for eachother to push our way through.

But it is amazing how this little life changes your perceptive so quickly and gives you that different kind of motivation. I mean we have been through tough times before, as any small business does and have always been each others rock but now we do it with bigger smiles on our faces. Smiles for a baby boy, for our dreams to come and for OUR little family!

Bub and I help out Hubby with work whenever we can, it wasn’t long before I was back on the tools to give a hand (normally I’m a nurse). The shed is much more fun than the office and all the paperwork. I admire my Husband for all he does and for what he will do in the future. He is a family man and will be there for our son when I return to shift work soon to help ease that pressure we have. I’ve been lucky to have this 5 months at home with our baby, now hubby will share this honour more.

My Husband and I were strong together but we are stronger as a family!!

I love you both, Jeff and Rocco

Post your story
  • You are truly a loving devoted Mum to you husband and baby.
Until you go back to work, if your husband isn’t working at all you he may be able to apply for Govt. financial assistance, the same as a self employed person who is ill and cannot work while having constant medical treatment.
