the first night me and my partner got home with our new baby boy (rhyder) we thought it was going to be as easy as when we were at the hospital, well we thought wrong, it went a little like this. got home at 4.00pm decided to have a bf, and then a play and then it was bath time he loves his bath ever since the first one, we got him dressed and played on the bed a little and he had a big couch and then stoped breathing was gasping for ari. at this point me and my partner are stressing out to the max, we had a friend living with us at the time, first thing came to mind was tapping him on the back try and help him didn’t work next was steam in the bath room didn’t work, about 15 mins later he was starting to go a little blueish we held him by his legs for 20 seconds and then taped him on the back again and finally this Hugh chunk of congestion or reflux came out mean while im on the phone to the hospital our mate is having a heart attack and we as first time parents couldn’t believe this had happen. scarcest feeling ever. never wish it apron anyone. the hospital told us we did a great job and to try and feed him again give him a big burp and go to the doctor the next day. then next day di

d just so and found out more info on reflux defiantly do as much research as you can mother class anything we don’t have much here so ever talk to your mums or relatives people who have had kids before and make sure your comfortable to leave the hospital before you go home.

  • How terrifying! I’d hate for that to happen to somebody’s child, let alone my own.

  • How scary I hope things have improved. It sounds like you handled it very well and did everything you could. It would be wonderful if they came with instruction books.
