Hello!

I always dreamed on filling the back seat with children, week 5 weeks ago we welcomed out third child.

Now we have a dilemma… How to get three restraints across the back seat.

In our current car a 1999 Verada Wagon we fit 2 InfaSecure Roamers with a Steelcarft Cruiser capsule in the middle… BUT its a just fit. There is no way we will fit a third seat keeping the brand new Infa Convertible Boosters.

We are thinking of upgrading to a Ford Territory, in this vehicle we fit 3 Infa Convertible Boosters without an issue, we plan on having our children remaining in these seats until over the age of 10 years. The long a child is in a restraint the better in my opinion.

I would love to hear from other parents on their 3 across solutions and also Ford Territory owners.

  • Never had this dilemma :/ Had never really considered it either, most likely cos we never had to deal with it. Sounds like you have a solution though, although an expensive one :/

  • how did you go with the car and car seats?

  • We had the same issue. We sold the smaller of our 2 cars, kept our commodore, which fit 2 seats & our 10 year old comfortably. We also bought a Honda MDX as it’s 7 seats, as we often have friends travelling with us, so needed the extra 2 seats. I believe the Territory is very good, and spacious.

  • I have fit three across in many cars (including special needs car seats) that include Commodore, Corolla, 07 Kluger, and a Captiva.

Usually the key is finding slimline seats such as Hipod Senators (for convertible booster seats) and things like Infa Kompressors or SnS Compaqs for car seats.

  • Thanks PremmieMum. Three children is a lot of fun, our little girl is just 5 weeks old and we are very happy, she has really completed our family. the Territory is attractive to us because it has 5 anchor points as standard in the 7 seater. How do you find it on petrol, litres per hundred?

  • I have a ford territory and I love it. I wouldn’t part with it. I only have 2 car seats but do hope to have 3.
