Wouldnt it be wonderful if we could go back in time? Fix up our mistakes. Make people aware of what was going to happen to them so they could try and change things. I would go way back to my childhood. As a kid, my parents always told me “this is the best time of your life, make the most of it.” Of course, I could never see it. School problems, friend problems, boredom, not being able to do what I wanted. Yet they were right! So I think I would like to pop back there every now and then, when I’m feeling down, to pick myself up

  • There are times when I wish I could go back but I guess in life we only learn from our mistakes and hopefully they become lessons that we can take away something from. My motto although a bit cliche but ‘everything happens for a reason’.

  • i know that it can be tempting to think that way but the way that i see it is that there are no such things as mistakes if we learn from them. They are lessons

  • Interesting thought – not one that has crossed my mind though. Not sure I would want to tarnish fond childhood memories through adult eyes. Could be fun though.

  • I feel the same way about a relatively recent event in my life with a personal relationship. I was actually only thinking tonight; Wouldn’t it be great if we could get a remote control and rewind to the part where the mistake occurs and change history. Thanks for your story.

  • Yes, would love to go back and change things but I guess if we did our lives would be very different.

  • Mistakes have helped me to learn and grow and I would not change them. But time travel to meet some interesting and famous people in history – yes please! :)

    • Absolutely!! I’d love to meet special women like Jane Austen or the Bronte Sisters. :-)

      • Me too! I would share the same time machine with you! :)

  • It would be nice indeed. Even if, if you change the past, you change the present too. This way you’d probably be a different person. And it’s difficult to know if we’d like ourselves then! :-)

    • You are spot on – interesting concept to ponder.
