One thing we were never allowed to do. We might have damaged it and knocked off what might later be fruit. We had a hyper strict Dad – certainly not worth the punishment. I managed to break my arm at primary school when 2 of us collided when we jumped for a ball. I broke my right arm but it wasn’t too much inconvenience because I’m left handed. The teacher reckoned I wouldn’t be able to do things that you need both hands for. I accomplished some things. I think I gave her a shock when I used my plastered arm to hold my ruler straight to rule lines etc.

Glad to hear that the only serious injury was a broken wrist. No doubt he will be back up the plum tree before the cast is off – encourage “three points of contact” when climbing to maybe prevent a future fall!

Aren’t kids just amazing?! So resilient thank god. They have a lot if scrapes so it makes things a little easier on us parents
