Just wondering if anyone can help?

Master 2 1/2, is still in a cot & by the same age, his sister was already in her own big bed!

He doesn’t try to even climb out when he wakes up. In actual fact, he’s more than happy to sit & play with his ‘friends’. I just think it’s about time for an upgrade. He is different to his sibling though & I just have a feeling that he would not ‘stay’. Therefore pulling everything out of cupboards & drawers etc. i also noticed that when his sibling went into her bed, that’s when she stopped wanting an afternoon nappy. And i don’t want that to happen with him also. Any tips? TIA

  • Go with it. As long as he still fits and you can lift him out :-)

  • It sounds like both of you are happy for him to stay in the cot for the time being.

  • I have always loved cloth nappies personal and have 6 dozen a I change often I have used disposable when going out when I am going out for a long trip only because you can take more with me. I have found some brand causes a rash as my son has very sensitive skin. Why else I like cloth nappies they can grow with the just by folding them larger and can also double nappy at night with pilkies over them but they have so far last all my children and I also use them on my grandchildren when they stay. I know they cause a bit more work but I soak them over night in nappisan than was and hang on the line and when almost dry a quick fluff up in the drier. also a double nappy at night and I have no leakage

  • Whoops – should have been “nearly 3″.

We have a BedSOK for when carter moves into his bed. A fitted sheet set/sleeping bag that zips up to help keep them in bed. I’m hoping the “secure” feeling will encourage him to stay in bed!

  • My eldest two (now 12 and 13) were nearly, and we are hoping for that with the toddler who is now 26 months. Carter also hasn’t tried to climb out and loves his cot and naps so we are holding out as long as possible. Good luck!
