Hello!

I was given a bag of used clothes from someone that had planned to throw them in the bin. I recycle, reuse and repurpose and do not believe in waste. I went through the bag and much to my surprise some of the clothes still had price tags on them! I kept some of the clothes and shared the rest with family and friends. They are now getting good use from many people. I am still horrified to think they could have ended up in landfill. It is important to recycle, reuse and repurpose. I share clothes and goods with family and friends and give to charity.

  • I try to do this as well however I am not a huge consumer of new clothing – I tend to were my stuff to within an inch of its life lol

  • i’ve had the same, though the ones with tags were not very nice. But yes, reuse and avoid landfill where possible.

  • I agree there is no point throwing clothes out if you can recycle to family and friends or give to charity.

  • That’s wonderful. We do the same.
When I was pregnant, a friend gave me 5 bags of clothes, what wasn’t maternity, was larger clothes in wonderful condition.

    • Good on you! Such a bonus to get the clothes. :)

  • I am completely with you. No sense in throwing away clothes (or other stuff) that other people can use. Such a waste!

    • I know – I expected them to be old and tatty, instead of mostly new. Waste is not needed.

      • I have offered to find new homes and take any other unwanted stuff to charity. Just makes good community sense.
