well Christmas is over and it is almost the start of 2015 … my brother and myself had hristmas dinner at the locl RSL this year ,,, beautiful meal, way to much to eat as usual,, have to learn to say no.. we walked there and back it is only about 20 minutes walking [ hard walking back but as we both had full tummys,,, but I was so amazed at how quite it was, no kids out in the street playing with there new toys , and bragging about what santa had brought them.. oh the good old days when you felt safe .. it is getting very scary now,, you have to look over your shoulder just to make sure you are not being followed. close all the doors and windows eveytime you go out, can not even sleep with a window open to get fresh air as someone may brake in.. what is the next generation going to have ,, scary

  • depends on your area I guess, we’re living in a small country town so we still feel relatively safe, we’ve had a “spate” of break ins (like 5 in a month) but everyone knows it’s some local kids who just moved in (a neighbour saw them, parents have been informed and since nothing really went missing just some knick knacks no one is up in arms, we’re just aware) It may seem a bit stepfords, but out here you do still hear kids running around which I love =D

  • Could it be that this generation of kids prefer ipads & electronic games than bikes & outdoors! Sad to say I didn’t see any kids out & about on new bikes either.

  • Sorry to hear that you feel this way; I do hope you still enjoyed Christmas. Possibly the kids were playing in their backyards or playing inside? I still see people getting out and about and enjoying the outdoors; maybe they were having a rest with full bellies!(like me!) :)
