Hello!

I am a stay at home mom with a home based business and I also homeschool my intellectually disabled daughter. About a week and a half ago everything was going fine – I would get up at 6am to start my day – work on the homeschooling as well as deal weith customers etc etc plus the housework and taking care of DH – 10pm would come and I was lucky if I had eaten anything – if not I would grab a portion of what I cooked for everyone else and start talking to overseas wholesalers and that would go on till about 3am then bed. This was my life day in and day out – I was run down and exhausted but had forgotten what “well rested” felt like so thought I was fine… until I collapsed – slept for 14 hrs dh called doc and I was put on a week of bedrest. It took probably 4 of those days for me to catch up on sleep – I am now back in the saddle but having a real hard time managing time – I don’t touch the comp after 6pm but feel like I am not getting enough done and am still playing catchup from the week I lost. I have customers without their orders ( altho they have been supportive) my paperwork was”tidied up” which means I can’t find a thing and don’t know which invoices have been sent and which haven’t – I guess my question is how do I slow down and still be able to do my business?????

  • I hope you have found a way to ease your days a bit more. I would suggest getting help with household chores or for your home business! Maybe a family member or even a friend that could step in daily just to help out a few hours..

  • No wonder you’re tired! So much on your plate! Could you get some help for the home or business perhaps?

  • Maybe it’s time to admit we are not superhuman. Possibly hiring part time help might be the answer.
