My first encounter with Wayne should of been my last, I didnt get alot of attention from boys so when this older man showed interest in me, I was flattered he knew all the right things to say, he made me feel special. I had been allowed to spend the night at a friends house, we had thought itd be a great idea to sneak out and go up town, both from strict families, roaming the streets was not allowed especially in the middle of the night, so in hindsight had I obeyed the rules my life would of panned out quite different.

However, there we were Heidi and myself sitting under a shelter in the main street of a little town, Bowen, Nth Qld when a white ford falcon pulls up, after a brief introduction we were in the car with Wayne and 2 of his cousins driving around eventually we ended up at a local lookout where they smoked marijuana and Heidi and I giggled at everything they said and did like young girls do. After a brief visit to the local night club, we were quickly escorted out after not being able to produce ID, what a surprise, considering we were so young! Wayne had then come up with the suggestion of going to a friends unit close by, I remember Heidi pleading with me not to go, saying weve got to get home, I obviously didnt listen, Heidi didnt make it home undetected and soon told her Dad exactly where wed been and where I was – consiquently called the police whom arrived at the house with lights flashing. Next thing Wayne is telling me to run, the police had arrived just before anything occured in the bedroom however I was naked and not keen on running, he grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the back door and he was gone, there I was naked, scared hiding behind acar. The police grabbed me me ,I collected my belongings and they took me home, needless to say my parents and older brother were deverstated. After a long conversation full of things I didnt want to hear I went to bed. The next day I saw Wayne again at the shop near the school I attended where he told me if I had any problems at home to get a taxi tp his house, After another heated conversation with my family, I left home that day, they never tried to stpp me, Mum actually looked releived Dad sat on the verandah and cried as I walked down the long driveway to a waiting taxi, I never looked back, I couldnt bare to see him cry..I instructed the taxi driver to go to the address Wayne had given me, George Street, Bowen, I was greeted by Wayne and his cousins srinking and watching footy, as it turned out it was his mothers house, she was out of town on her return the next day she was not pleased to meet me and wanted me out of her house, this house soon became known to me as The House of Hell, my own living hell…

to be continued…
