Every second sentence is “Get your finger out of your nose”

You are on first name terms with the Kmart security guard

You’re main source of adult conversation is at the swings/slide/sandpit

You check your cd collection and all you can find are Wiggles and High 5

You check your DVD collection and all you can find are Thomas and Octonauts

You lift the lid of the record player (remember them?) and find 5 ex grapes now wannabe raisons

You open the kitchen drawer for a wooden spoon and find 3 toy cars, a selection of blocks and no wooden spoons

You go to have a nice relaxing bath and find your wooden spoons

Your cats a permanantly traumatised

You know every single song in Mulan and every line in King Fu Panda 2

Your favourite beer stein is in use as a baby cutlery holder

You have a meal with a friend and find yourself cutting their dish into interesting shapes

You put your feet on the floor of the car and they crunch/stick

You lift the lid on the washing machine to find out why it is clunking and remove one gumboot

You deal with an hysterically crying and upset child after their umbrella gets wet

You realise the reason you have a stiff neck in the morning is because of the other gumboot stuffed in your pillow case that you were to tired to notice the night before

You know the exact distance between shelves in the supermarket and her reach from the trolley

You listen to the Wiggles for thirty minutes before you realise they are asleep

You watch Fireman Sam long after she has lost interest to see what happened

and probably many more….

  • omg this is so true my two year old always has her fingers up her nose it drives me crazy im forever saying get them out, its good to know that other two year olds do it too an mine isent the olly one.

  • Definitely so true. I am at the point of remembering all my childrens favourite TV shows opening theme song. And i keep finding toys and clothes scattered everywhere but where they should be.

  • So true, I am guilty of both the watching kids shows after they go to bed, cutting my husbands meals as well as the boys and the finding things in drawers and the washing machine as well as others. This gave me a good laugh
