The Zika virus is shocking and devastating and the suffering of the children and parents is unimaginable. Let’s pray and hope they find the vaccine as soon as possible. Scientists are working hard and racing to find a vaccine. My thoughts and prayers are with the families that are living with the Zika virus and the outcomes of the virus. Let’s pray for the global community.

  • It’s really sad. I’ve seen many warnings to expectant parents to reconsider baby moons. The possible consequences are just not worth it.

  • This virus appears to have a devastating effect on the babies of infected mothers. Now, they are saying that infected ladies should wait 2 years before contemplating pregnancy. I wonder how much the authorities really know about this virus.

  • The Zika Virus could become something really devastating. I’ve seen the picture of a Brazilian baby in the newspaper today, who suffers of microcephaly because of the virus. It’s really scary. The microcephaly could be related to learning difficulties, speech delays and other problems.

  • You’re praying for science to do something? What an interesting concept….

    • I think whatever can be done to achieve an positive outcome is good. I also suggest that the prayers here are a suggestion of hope, and there is nothing wrong with that. This virus is hard to detect and has devastating effects. I agree totally with the sentiments of the person who posted this story.

      • Sadly prayers don’t fund medical research. They help you sleep better at night, but monetary donations should be encouraged more than anything.

      • Science and faith can work together and be together in working towards a vaccine. Faith and prayer is definitely an act of hope.
