Queensland police charge teenager with child abduction following amber alert issue on Saturday.

A 16-year-old South Australian boy has been charged with child abduction following an Amber Alert issued by Queensland Police on Saturday morning.

The boy will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act and police investigations into this incident are continuing.

The 10 month old baby girl was located safe at a Toowoomba address late yesterday morning.

The little girl had been noticed missing from a Moffat Beach address around 2.50am on Saturday and was believed to be with a 16-year-old boy and possibly a 19-year-old man. Both were known to the child.

  • I would like to know something more about this case. Has the teenager any relation with the baby?

  • How scary, would be nice to hear the whole story though

  • I’m hoping this is a family issue, maybe he’s the father and there’s been custody issues??? That would be a lot better then bring a dirty filthy paedophile stealing the baby for other reasons

  • I assume this is a complex situation – not enough detail to comment on.
