Mums are calling this the best hair straightener on the market. Big call?!

One woman was so thrilled with her new Kmart purchase that she took to Facebook to share her review of her “new favourite toy.”

“I have really thick, frizzy unmanageable hair, and it’s the best thing I’ve used in a while,” wrote Jackie Louise in a post on Facebook group Kmart Mums Australia.

“I thought, for $19, how good can it be? Turns out, it’s flipping amazing!!” she wrote.

“It does take a bit of time to work out how it works with your hair,” Lousie added.

“I didn’t lose all the volume from my hair, like my GHD does and it doesn’t dry it out either. New favorite toy!” said added.

Dozens of other women replied to the post declaring their love for the product.

  • GHD is very expensive and good to have an alternative though always a bit of a worry with cheap electrical items.

  • I often have this argument with my hubby. Just because it’s expensive, doesn’t mean it’s the best quality

  • would love to try this then. never wanted to spend heaps as i already have a flat iron…$19 is soooo cool

  • If you have washed your hair does it dry it at the same time? Why would you want to stretch your hair?

  • At that price its certainly worth a try

  • I’ll pass on this – I want something to make my hair manageable – it is already straight as dye.

  • I like the idea of the brush rather than the flattening iron. Might give this a try.

  • Sounds like a good investment to make. I’ve used a hair straightener but never heard of a hairbrush straightener before. Might have to think about it if mine breaks

  • I haven’t used a straightening brush before but will try if I need a new straightener.

  • OMG! I am going to buy this tomorrow. I have very thick frizzy hair and struggle to maintain it. Was desperately considering cutting it all off, but know that’s not the answer. KMart, here I come.

  • What’s good for one persons hair could be bad for someone else’s. GHD stands for good hair day meaning that their products are designed to help your hair rather than damage it.
I wouldn’t take one mums word in saying it’s better than GHD.

  • my daughter has one, she still uses my GHD, if they were that great hairdressers would have them

    • My daughter has thick, waist-length hair. I bought her the wide GHD years ago, even though I hated how flat and lank it made her beautiful hair look. A couple of years ago, I bought her one of the expensive straightening brushes, and the effect on her hair is so much better – straight, but full of body and shine. She only straightens her hair for special occasions, but it lasts all day. A poster below says the frizz comes back, but my daughter gets me to lightly glide my hands over her hair and ends, after I’ve rubbed them with a nice serum to prevent frizz. There is definitely a knack to using a brush, but she seems to have it.

  • Interesting. I had never heard of these. I might need to give it a go!

  • Kmart for the win again! i love their products

  • I don’t know about this one, but I got a straightening brush from america when they first came out and there is a knack to them but they do save a lot of time. It only lasts for half a day though before the frizz starts creeping in.
