Research released by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner highlights the dangers of kids and online multiplayer games.
The research by the Office of the eSafety Commissioner shows 6 in 10 young people play multiplayer games.
Of these, approximately 17% or 200,000+ young Australians, experienced in-game bullying in a 12 month period.
How young people deal with bullying during online gaming includes:
42 % turned off the chat function
41% ignored the bullying
38% stopped playing games with the bully
It is recommended that parents turn OFF the chat function when children are play games online.
