The Duchess of Cambridge has been forced to deny rumours she has had ‘baby botox’ after a prominent plastic surgeon posted about her complexion.

A prominent British plastic surgeon has posted before and after photos claiming that The Duchess of Cambridge has used baby botox to improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Dr. Munir Somji’s post, which has since been deleted, prompted rare action from the palace who denied the claims and said they were ‘categorically untrue’.

Saving Face

The post in question featured two photos of the duchess alongside a caption which read “our Kate loves a bit of baby botox”.

“Note the reduction of lines on the forehead,” Dr. Somji said. “Also notice the depression of the medial brow but elevation of the lateral tail of the brow.”

‘Baby botox’ refers to the process of injecting multiple amounts of the product into the face in smaller amounts to reduce fine lines and wrinkles without creating the ‘frozen’ look often associated with the cosmetic treatment.

“It prevents wrinkles but you’ll still have movement,” specialist Pamela Benito told Byrdie. “(It will) lift and tighten.”

Secrets And Lies

Marketing manager for Dr Somji’s clinic, Sammy Curry, said she could not confirm or deny whether The Duchess of Cambridge was in fact one of their clients and that the post was merely a way of showing the possible transformation.

The palace, however, says that members of the royal family never endorse commercial activity, with the rumours dismissed. Their statement, however, has done little to silence the gossip with many saying that the camera never lies.

Whatever the truth is, we can’t help but feel sorry for Kate. To have your appearance constantly analysed and debated over must be incredibly frustrating. If she has indeed visited the clinic, we doubt she will make a return visit after this drama!

  • Good on them for not letting this pass for others to profit. Kate is a class act.

  • I haven’t tried it and I think it’s awful for them to use Kate as an advertisement without her permission.

  • Even if she has wants used it……big deal…..it’s her choice. Society puts such high expectations on royals/celebrities and if she has its due to pressure placed on women to look a certain way. It’s time to move on and leave them alone on their looks

  • It really disgusts me that these stories are allowed to keep being spread about the young royals ANY royals or anyone else for that matter. Tabloid news isn’t worthy of wrapping fish and chips up in frankly !

  • She looks lovely – who cares how she manages to look that way…

  • I definitely agree with other readers – whether she has or hasn’t it’s her business. I kind of read this as a publicity stunt by the Dr?

  • Whether she has or hasn’t is her business. I think she looks great either way.

  • who cares if she has had a little botox, if we could all afford it so easily there would probably be more of us doing it – shame on the botox place using her as part of their advertising without her consent, maybe the Palace could sue them for defamation!

  • This article just joins the gossip.
Poor Kate, it’s none of our business whether she did botox or not, or what she puts on her skin or not.

    • And no, I never tried and am not interested in Botox, I go with my wrinkles and lines :)

      • I agree – I have embraced the ages and stages – it is such a privilege to live a life.
Wrinkles and lines on the face and body tell a life story.
