After a busy few months, the Cambridge’s are rumoured to be enjoying their summer holidays on a private island in the Carribean.

With Prince George set to celebrate his 6th birthday on Monday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have jetted off with their children for their summer holidays.

The family are rumoured to be enjoying the sun with a return visit to the private island of Mustique in the Carribean where they spent the summer last year.

Rest And Relaxation

During their holiday last year, Prince George was reported to have learnt how to swim while on the island, the very place that Kate used to holiday with her family when she was young.

“It is an incredibly private island and incredibly discreet but not remote,” a royal source told The Sun. “They know and trust the staff who work there and they are creatures of habit. The family love it.”

The island has been a popular holiday spot for celebrities and royals alike, including the Queen’s sister Princess Margaret and Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger.

“To go to a place with two bars and a few other people and not feel totally isolated, Mustique is perfect.”

Protecting Privacy

There’s no chance of the public seeing any of the Cambridge’s holiday snaps, however, with the island equipped with its own police force to prevent any paparazzi from reaching its shores.

“Every island visitor is registered with our security team before arriving on the island by land, air or sea, whether staff, local islander or guest to ensure the security team know who is on the island at any one time,” the island’s website reads.

“With such a conscientious and friendly team looking after you, rest assured, you will never want to leave.”

If the photos are anything to go by, we wouldn’t want to leave either! The important question is do they have a kids club to keep George, Charlotte and Louis entertained!?

  • That’s amazing. There is surely someone helping with the kids while they are there. And the place looks amazing and so relaxing!! I’d love to go too!

  • I’m sure a nanny or two will tag along to help out. I reckon if I was royalty then I’d take holidays on private islands too. Until then, camping on french island is about as close as I’ll get.

  • I think they deserve a lovely break and it looks like the perfect place to relax with their family. We’ve always enjoyed camping in Wilson’s Promontory – probably not quite up to the standards of royalty, but we love it!
