Hello!

There’s no doubt that whatever Dyson touches turns to gold (and mega millions). But now they have announced the launch of the revolutionary Dyson Corrale, which is sure to change the whole landscape of hair straightening forever.

First, they dusted up the vacuum market, then they fanned away the heat with the hi-tech blade-free coolers and heaters. They launched into the beauty market with their Supersonic hair dryer and the Airwrap curling tong, which both attracted rave reviews and a cult following. Now they’re adding to their hair appliances with the innovative Dyson Corrale, which took over 7 years in the making.

The X-Factor

Of course, Dyson products always have to have at least one major point of difference – that magical X-factor that seems to leave its competitors floundering in a heap behind.

For the Dyson Corrale, the deal-maker is that it is cordless. Yep, no more getting almost strangled with the cord as you try to get those hard-to-reach spots at the back of your head.

Cord-free also means that the straightener is perfectly portable and can be popped into the handbag for quick touch-ups.

Less Hair Damage

Another big drawcard of the Corrale is its patented “flexible” plates, which supposedly distributes heat evenly and also means you don’t have to repeatedly run the straightener through your hair to get the smooth look. Dyson maintains that this means less heat exposure and damage to the hair.

“Flat hair irons apply tension and heat only on the thickest part of the tress, the strands at the edges are not clamped, leaving them slack, unheated and leaving flyaways. It requires multiple passes on the same section of the hair tress to give an even look, by which time excess heat may have caused reduced strength and less gloss,” James Dyson, the brand’s founder and chief engineer said.

The cordless straightener has three heat settings and a rechargeable battery that lasts for 30 minutes. It then takes around 40 minutes to recharge.

So, What’s The Catch?

Of course, there is always a catch. And those who are already fans of Dyson know that any products from this premium appliance company are on the pricey side. And the Dyson Corralle is no exception.
This must-have hair product will be priced at $699. Yep, beauty certainly doesn’t come cheap.

The Corrale is set to arrive in Australia on 24 April so start saving now.

  • The price tag is fairly steep! But in the long run if it lasts longer & is Proven to be better for your hair it would be worth it.

  • That is way too expensive for a hair straightener. It might have lots of benefits but not enough to warrant that price tag. I’m sure there will be quite a few people that will buy it though. Me, I’d rather spend the money on food

  • to expensive for a hair straightner

  • I already have very straight hair – just wish it was curly.

  • Ooh. I like the sound of it, but OMG that price tag.

  • The price is always so cost prohibitive. I rarely use a hair straightener and only blow dry twice a week so can’t justify the price.

  • 1. I don’t feel the need to straighten my hair 2. this is way too expensive

  • Oh I want one but it’s expensive. Though they seem to be around the price ghd hair straighteners were when they first came out on the market.
