Woolworths recently announced its latest collectable craze will take the form of Princess and superhero Disney+ Ooshies and have now revealed the full range of characters to collect. OMG – we are so excited.

But even before the official launch has begun, we’re already starting to plot our strategy to earn the most number of Disney+ Ooshies in the shortest amount of time.

The campaign runs from Wednesday 26 August until 20 October 2020 (or until stocks last). So we’ve only got less than 2 months to maximise our Ooshie collecting power.

The themed Disney+ figurines will be given out with every $30 spent in-store or online.

Bonus Participating Brands

But the secret lies within the Bonus Products. During the Lion King Ooshies collection, we uncovered a super simple hack to score lots of lots of extra Ooshies. And the same trick can be applied in the upcoming Disney+ Ooshies collection.

One bonus Disney+ Ooshie will be awarded to customers who spend $30 or more plus they ​also purchase any product from a Participating Brand in a single ​transaction ​at any Woolworths supermarket, participating Woolworths Metro or Woolworths Online during the Promotional Period.

There’s One Catch…

The only caveat to keep in mind is that there is a limit of five Bonus Disney+ Ooshies per Participating Brand per eligible transaction.

But this means it’s really easy to wrack up the bonus Ooshies and this year, there are heaps of participating brands to pick from.

With most of the bonus brands, there are no conditions as to which product you have to buy to qualify. It doesn’t matter whether you purchase a $1 item or a $10 item from that particular participating brand – you will still get that bonus Ooshie.

How To Earn 18 Ooshies For $30

We’ve done a quick online shop to figure out how we can get the most Ooshies out of a $30 transaction. With just a quick look, we’ve calculated that we can score 18 Disney+ Ooshies on a minimum $30 transaction. There are so many ways to do this and we reckon with a bit more research, you can probably earn even more.

Our purchases include:

• Macro organic pouches – $1.50 X 5 = $7.50
• Danone yoghurt – $2 x 5 = $10
• Paul’s yoghurt pouches – $1.4 x 4 = $5.6
• Fresh food mini apples – $3
• Uncle Tobys Oat Cups Honey Porridge 50g – $2.15 x 2 = $4.30

This brings the total to $30.40. With this transaction, we would earn one Disney Ooshie for the transaction PLUS 17 BONUS Disney+ Ooshies to bring us to an overall haul of 18 Ooshies for just over $30. Yes!!!

Lots Of Popular Characters

The Disney+ Ooshies collection is bound to be wildly popular with favourite characters from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Star Wars, just waiting to be collected.

The campaign stars 36 Ooshies including Elsa and Anna from Frozen, Moana, Elastigirl from The Incredibles and Darth Vader from Star Wars.

In addition to the ‘regular’ Disney+ Ooshies, there will also be rare and ultra-rare Disney+ Ooshies and special editions – such as the silver, gold, colour changing, glow in the dark, and glitter versions, which can all be stored in the collection box.

Sorry Victoria!

However, as we reported previously, the Disney+ Ooshie collectables will not be available in Victoria until lockdown restrictions relax. This is to ensure the safety of staff members and customers and allow the team to focus on store operations.

“We know some customers in Victoria will be disappointed by the delayed roll out, but the safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members, and community remains our number one priority,” said Woolworths chief marketing officer Andrew Hicks.

“The delay will allow our team to focus on operations and supplying customers with their everyday essentials during this challenging period.

“Once restrictions ease and we can safely roll out the program, we look forward to sharing the Disney magic with our Victorian customers.”
