The Grounds latest laneway installation is free to visit and there are so many colourful and delicious things to explore – but it’s only for a limited time!

With so many incredible installations over the last year, it seemed like The Grounds of Alexandria couldn’t possibly do any better. Their latest laneway surprise, however, is so sweet and has taken things to the next level!

The Garden of Sweets is open for a limited time only, featuring giant inflatable lollies in all the neon colours you could ever possibly want.

Sugar Sugar

While the installation is open every day from 7 am, until the 22nd of September, The Grounds have also planned a special dessert night market. At these markets,  guests will have the chance to try and buy an endless selection of sweet treats.

On Thursday 15th August and Friday 16th August, carts selling fizzy sherbert drinks, fresh doughnuts, fruit crepes and so much more will line the laneway, bringing the giant light-up inflatable treats to life.

For those who prefer savoury to sweet, never fear, as The Grounds plan to cater for all tastebuds and have promised some secret, saltier options to balance out the sugar rush!

Just So Sweet

Entry to the markets will cost $10 per person, so come prepared to spend a bit of cash and make the most of the experience!

We think the event could be the perfect place to celebrate your child’s birthday with a couple of friends, especially with the self-serve chocolate fondue station on hand complete with brownies, cookies and fresh fruit.

If you’d rather avoid letting your kids go sugar crazy, the installation is still definitely worth a visit for some cute photographs and lunch at one of The Grounds delicious cafes!
