Hello!

Forget Christmas in July – at this hotel the magic of Christmas is available every day of the year!

There are two kinds of people in the world. The first kind are those that want to extend the duration of Christmas for as long as possible, putting up their decorations in mid-October and playing Buble’s Christmas album on repeat long after New Year.

Then there are the sort of people who believe that Christmas is a twelve day affair, have decided to boycott shopping centres that have already put up their tree, and refuse to get their children’s Santa photo taken before mid-December. If you are in the latter category, look away now.

Featured in Country Living Magazine, The Inn at Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, in the US, is a Christmas-lovers paradise; think making gingerbread houses, sleeping in festive themed rooms, having breakfast with Santa Claus and learning how to deck out your home Christmas style. Only a few minutes down the road from Dolly Parton’s ‘Dollywood’, the hotel offers hot buffet breakfast, indoor and outdoor pool with waterslide and the South’s largest Christmas themed shopping centre right next door.

What’s Not To Love?

While some may argue that such a concept destroys ‘Christmas spirit’, Country Living Magazine guest relations manager Dwight McCarter says that perpetual Christmas just never gets old for him. “Every day it’s new, when you see people who are walking in for the first time, especially children, when you see the smile and look of wonder and amazement in their eyes, it’s fresh.” Not to mention the delicious food, present wrapping classes and tree decorating workshops – what’s not to love?

One Special Day

Even though Christmas all year round sounds like a good idea in theory, thinking of Christmas presents once a year is hard enough! And if we’re honest, there’s something magical about that one special day of the year; seeing the kids faces light up when they discover their presents, eating incredible Christmas food, and spending quality time with family and friends. It’s pretty hard to beat.

Still, we wouldn’t say no to a few days of Christmas cheer any time of the year!

  • In a hotel it would be magical. Might get old for staff but for everyone else staying in a hotel is usually a luxury anyway so this would be extra special.
