If you are wondering what to do this holidays why not consider a children’s play? The Marion street Theatre has put together a wonderful rendition of the classic CSLewis book ‘The Lion the Witch  and the Wardrobe’.

There is a large and talented cast of young actors and actresses.  The standard was extremely high and the cast very well rehearsed with stand out performances from the charismatic Lucy, with her clear articulation and excellent voice projection , Edward, delivering lines with humour and making the kids laugh, Mr Tumnis who brings to life the lovable character and a powerful performance from White Witch.

The supporting crew also did a great job with clever set transitions between the professors house and the woods of Narnia. Creative sound design and use of lighting transports us into the mystic land of Narnia. The children in the audience were engrossed, travelling back into this imaginary and magical land where it is always winter.

It’s great for families with reasonably priced snacks and a kids colouring corner. An intimate and convenient venue with easy parking, the Knox cultural centre is comfortable and all seats have a clear view of the stage. Also kids can sit up the front so they can see up close if your seats are further back.

Let your kids enjoy a wonderful performance of a classic tale and see the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe with the Marion Street these holidays.
