The product all parents need!

A sign that tells people not to touch your baby.

The signs are sold by US-based parenting company Tags 4 Tot.

The range includes the classic ‘Baby safety’ sign, in addition to a special range from ‘Preemie’ or ‘Micro-preemie’.

The badges can be secured to car seats and prams in order to be seen clearly.

The classic sign reads: “STOP! No touching. Your germs are too big for me!”

Awesome, right? DO you need one of these ASAP?

  • brilliant idea. Especially with covid in our midst as well.

  • Terrible that it’s come to this, though. Pity there isn’t common sense these days.

  • My child has red hair and a lot of elderly people came to touch her hair in shopping centres, I wasn’t comfortable with it but also was not comfortable to say “don’t touch”. It did no harm. I think a lost of germs are airborne? (for a baby – they aren’t touching door handles etc)

  • If the kids can’t cope with such big germs, maybe they shouldn’t be out in public. I do remember calling in to see friends with my newborn. They had a bit over 1yo, snotty nose, dirty hands, dirty clothes…..and they were encouraging her to look at the little baby, touch him softly. I left pretty quick

    • would you touch a random adult though? I dont think so, what makes it OK to touch a baby?

  • It’s a good idea but a little sad that people can’t be respectful enough not to touch. I don’t mind people talking to my kids if I’m there and they’re being friendly but I always feel a little weird about touching.

  • Great idea. Still makes me angry and little sad how readily people will try to touch a baby without asking first though – should be commonsense really.

  • Yes, I had something like this for my prem daughter 14 yrs ago. I got fed up with people touching her unasked and one time a lady stuck even a finger in her mouth !!

  • Wow!!! Great advice. I would never have thought of that. But then I would never touch a baby without asking first. It’s risky enough having to take a young baby out in public because of airborne germs etc without thinking of the consequences of somebody passing germs on by touching your baby. Babies…..and older people…. can have reaction to medications other people have taken if they touch at all. I know one child who reacts badly to Iboprufen which is an ingredient in Nurofen, Advil, Nuromol and a few others. It affects balance, behaviour, eyesight and breathing difficulties. One child has had to have cpr in hospital. Too much contact over a period of time can effect the person’s brain. It is not a common allergy but it can be as dangerous as nut allergies for some. There is a huge waiting list for epipens. Those with peanut allergies will be given them first and others will wait much longer. One family has already been waiting for 2 years.

  • this is an wonderful product – and could also be adapted for others who have immune deficiencies (kids and adults!) – what a great idea. I am so happy to see a company doing this for those mums who want to protect their children and dont want to seem pushy and rude to their friends or strangers.
