I’m not trying to be pessimistic, but there are several things that I wish I knew before I had a baby. Of course no lesson is truly learned without firsthand experience, but here are a few eye-openers for you to ponder while growing your little bundle of joy…

yeah this is a great article and very brief. i think that you could write all day and still think of new things to add to this list. i think that i felt such a new and intense love for this little child and that changed me completely. You also forget what life is like before you got pregnant because you really have someone else to focus on
Postnatal Depression is something that doctors, nurses, midwives everyone should know about. It’s a silent killer I suffered with my first baby for 6 months and I didn’t know what was happening to me I was 18. Lucky my doctor picked up on it when I was honest about it, there is a stigma attached to Postnatal Depression and it needs to be more commonly spoken about.
I found that people were all too quick to tell you the horror stories and negatives but rarely the positive and beautiful things and when it comes down to it the lovely things far outweigh any negatives.
I was 20 when I fell pregnant with my first child. None of my friends had babies and I’d never held a newborn before. It can be exciting and scary at the same time. It is an instant love from the moment you see their body born out of yours. You will have some fun times and some hard times, you will laugh and you will cry. No matter what I’ve learnt that you should always give your children lots of cuddles and let your children grow up seeing their parents cuddling and loving each other.
Hmmm… This article sounds a bit negative to me… What about focusing on the positive and joyful side? I’m sure all mums go through the same thing, we all have our down days but it’s good to focus on happy things.
I’m looking forward to meeting my baby but the process is a hard one. I remember how scared I was t go to the toilet with stitches, nobody warned me about that. Or the sore boobs amd cracked nipples.
