A mums’ creative idea to make her own baby-to-toddler growth chart has captivated us and the rest of the internet.

Mum of 4, Brittany, has shared a photo of her daughter dressed in the same Bonds Wondersuit design but in different sizes to reflect her baby’s growth over the years.

She writes about her pic:

“And just like that, photo 6.. the last photo! Is done! 31 months in the making. Newborn to 2 1/2.. size 0000 to 2 in wondersuits.”

We absolutely fell in love with this idea and the thought even crossed our mind that it was worth having another baby just so we could do this for ourselves.

It certainly would have taken some commitment and a bit of an initial financial outlay to get the series of photos done but the result is simply incredible.

It’s Gone Viral

We posted the pic on the Mouths of Mums facebook page and within a few days, it had gone viral, with the photo been shared throughout the UK, US and other parts of the world.

To date, the photo has been shared over 4,000 times with 22,000 comments. It has reached over 2-million people.

Many of the comments included tags to pregnant friends, encouraging them to do this with their new bubs.

Others expressed regret that they didn’t do this with their baby.

“I wish we had done this with our 2!,” said one.

“Oh cr*p…. we’ll have to have another one,” said another

  • This is so cute , what a great idea.

  • This is gorgeous! I’m just wondering how she got bub to stay still so she could take these photos? A lovely growth chart!!

  • From about the age of 2 y.o. we had pencil marks on the wall next to the door frame in a room rarely visited by other people. They didn’t show unless you shut the door from the inside of the room. Our weights were recorded every year in an exercise book .

  • Looks cute but not something I would do either. I would get very bored with all the same suits year in year out.

  • What a creative way of showing the growth spurt of your child. Wish I’d thought of it too

  • So cute and creative, love it, wish I had done something similar.

  • A different way to notice the changes – doubt I’d have the commitment to do this though. From about 4 onwards we had the chart on the wall to see how much they had grown.

  • This is really cute. Definitely a different way of showing bubs growth.
I’ve also seen a mum do it with her 3 girls – all wearing same bonds zippys & all in the same picture! Now that’s commitment lol

  • Very cute, thank you for sharing.

  • Awww, too cute and what a fab idea.

  • Great idea and something that they can share when the child is older. That required so commitment good on you Mum

  • I sometime see wish I was this Creative, then I realise I don’t have to be because we have the marvellous world of the internet. I hope the actual creative people out there don’t stop doing what they are doing :)

  • This is a brilliant idea and I’ll have to keep it in mind..and be on the hunt for the same onesie on sale haha

  • That is such a great idea. Although, I can’t say that I have done any of these milestone type pictures

  • Looks great but not something I would do.

    • I can appreciate the creativity but have stayed with traditional growth charts.
