Hello!

Harry Potter fans rejoice. Three new Wizarding books by J.K. Rowling will soon be hitting the shelves!

It’s been twenty years since the first Harry Potter book was published and 11 years since the final book in the series was available. That’s a helluva long wait for us Potterheads and we’re understandably craving our next Harry Potter hit.

The three new books won’t, unfortunately, be an actual new magical adventure – but rather provides a deeper insight into Hogwarts and the greater world of Harry Potter.

Introducing the Three New Harry Potter Books

They are: Harry Potter: Creatures, A Pop-Up Guide To Hogwarts and a Beginner’s Guide To Moviemaking. All of the new books will be launched in October, just in time for Halloween and of course, the perfect Christmas present for Potter followers.

In the last few years, Rowling has published a few books providing a more academic background into Harry Potter’s realm and has also been involved in a two-part stage play called Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. She has also authored a movie script called Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them which was turned into a spin-off film. A sequel, titled Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, is scheduled to be released in November 2018

More About The Books

Harry Potter: Creatures: A Paper Scene Book ($31.47, due for release on 2 Oct), is packed with new facts about the fantasy creatures featured in the books and films. These are bought to life in 3D pop-up form within the book.

Another pop-up book is Harry Potter: A Pop-Up Guide To Hogwarts ($65.99, due for release on 23 Oct) is a 3D illustrated guide to the world of Harry Potter.

Finally, Harry Potter: Imagining Hogwarts: A Beginner’s Guide To Moviemaking ($19.99, due for release on 30 Oct) is perfect for wannabee movie makers and is a step-by-step, practical guide on how to bring Harry Potter to life on screen.

And if you’re super-enthusiastic, all three books are currently available to pre-order on Amazon.

  • Wow! My son has the whole set and I was looking at getting rid of them. It’s been a while between drinks, so open to a whole new generation.

  • I have yet to watch a Harry Potter movie or read one of these books. Even though my kids were Harry Potter mad. I tried reading the first book, didn’t interest me and I never got past the first chapter

    • I love the books and the movies. Harry Potter is a wonderful world to escape into for an hour or two.

  • Not my thing but I’m sure there will be plenty of very happy people.

  • I won’t be buying them for my nephew. He has the original set unfortunately he seems to lost the reality of life. Somebody gave him the set of DVDs and he now likes the “dark side” of life. That is the only type of movie he likes now – gruesome (blood thirsty )violent ones. Since watching that type of movie he has become violent when asked to do something he doesn’t want to do.

    • Aw that is scary the impact movies can have on our kids

  • I didn’t mind the original series (though I didn’t think they were that great either), but wouldn’t bother with these.
