We’ve all done it! Put on a load of washing only to later lift the lid and discover a tissue was left in someone’s pocket.

Stress no more! Next time you are faced with the impossible task of removing all those tiny white flakes attached to your clothing, grab an aspirin.

tissue wash

Yep, that’s all you need. Depending on how bad the situation is, you can either do another wash cycle, adding four aspirin to the wash or  if necessary soak the items in a bucket with the aspirin and hang them on the line to dry.

Alternately I have been guilty of just tossing the lot in the clothes dryer and they come out tissue free. Easy peasy.

  • I must try that idea as I usually do it about every month and it gets on all the dark clothes so I put on the line when dry I shake and most comes off and then I grab the clothes brush and get what’s left off.

  • What a great laundry hack…..I will definitely try that one. In the past I just put them in the dryer and that takes the fluff off.

  • My husband does this to me at least once a week!!! I put the clothes through the dryer and the lint filter catches it all for me.

  • Oh so many times I’ve had a tissue go through the wash. We don’t have a clothes drier, so I’m thrilled to find such an easy and quick fix. Just have to buy aspirin now

  • Great tips thank you. I work at a hospital and inevitably someone will leave a tissue in their clothes when I do the washing. Now I won’t have to spend ages trying to pull the bits of tissue off
